The pub dates back to the 17th century retaining its stone-flagged floors & beamed ceilings.

With over 10 years’ experience working in their family's restaurants, Tara now joins Claire, who previously managed the Rose & Crown for 6 years with their Dad. Tara’s knowledge & passion for food also comes from working for one of the UK’s biggest suppliers to the food industry. They both now look forward to welcoming you on their new adventure.
At the bar are over 40 carefully selected wines. The draught ales include our own ‘Local’ brewed by Hart Brewery @ Wellingborough, Greene King IPA, Abbot & 3 regularly changing guest ales.
Making sure the pub's excellent reputation is maintained is Head Chef, Grant Wentzel. Originally from South Africa, he trained as a Chef at Prue Leith College. He moved to England over 15 years ago and joined the Rose & Crown team in May 2014. Grant has helped us achieve our third Northamptonshire Booker Food Pub of the Year 2015/16. He was also recently selected as Runner up for the Northamptonshire Chef of the Year 2016/17!

We are dog friendly at The R&C; we allow dogs in our bar area, and have a dedicated ‘dog table’ away from the main restaurant if you wish to join us for dinner. They can even have a doggie biscuit if they deserve a treat…
